According to the Bureau of Statistics, the prices of 22 essential commodities were expensive and nine were reduced last week.

According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, inflation declined marginally by 0.40 percent last week, and the rate of inflation on an annual basis was recorded at 29.42 percent.

Tomatoes became cheaper by Rs 36 per kg, and their average price came down from Rs 127 to Rs 90, while potatoes became cheaper by Rs 12 per kg, and the average price was Rs 61 per kg.

According to the report, Eggs were sold at Rs 276 per dozen, while Ghee, Cooking oil, Dal Masoor, Dal Maash, and Dal Chana were slightly cheaper.

According to the data, the price of live broiler chicken in the country has increased by Rs 17 per kg and its price has crossed Rs 300, Onion has become expensive by Rs 4 per kg and its average price has been Rs 215 per kg.

According to the report, 20 kg Wheat flour increased from Rs 1524 to Rs 1557, and Sugar was also expensive by Rs 1.23 per kg and sold at Rs 95.29. Prices of wood, LPG, salt, banana, garlic, milk, cigarettes, and jaggery also increased.

As indicated by the Government Department of Measurements, the costs of 20 food things stayed stable the week before.
